Heating Element
We are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of heating element in India. We manufacture alpha rod heating element using high grade green silicon carbide materials. This heating element is a linear type element consisting of heating and terminal sections with appropriate lengths, the heating section is known as hot zone and the two terminal sections is known as the cold zones. This heating element offered by us is available in different sizes, shapes and diameters depending on the type of application.
The cold ends of the heating element are impregnated with silicon metal to lower their resistance. The extremities of the elements are metalized with aluminum to provide a low resistance contact surface to which the electrical connections are made with braided aluminum straps. This alpha rod heating element offered by us has higher density of 2.4 gms/cc through which superior performance is achieved. Our heating element can be interchanged with all silicon carbide elements since they are available in equivalent sizes with almost same resistance values.
The heating element is available in any length up to 127 inches. The maximum hot zone length is 96 inches till now. The standard diameters of our alpha rod element are 3/8, 7/16y 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1, 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 1-3/4, and 2-1/8. This heating element can work with a temperature of 3100 degree F in air or inert atmospheres. At low atmosphere it can operate at temperature as high as 2500 degree F. This heating element is coated with silicon dioxide for enhancing the protection of the material. Care should be taken since hydrogen reduces this coating and can cause deterioration to the element.
